CSX Helps Port Gibson Fire Department Purchase Portable Radios for Better Communication

Port Gibson, NY — During our training and critiques, we have identified our communications as a major concern again this year as in 2007. Our training has recognized that that the two portable radios funded by CSX in 2007 have already proved themselves as integral parts of our communication system. These added radios would increase the efficiency and capability to communicate the immediate conditions at an incident to the command post and, allow for swift and immediate response to the problem at hand and be directly involved with the remediation of the situation and help protect the safety of all responders and,of course, the community.
