CSX Donates $4,000 to Tennessee Fire Department | Safety

Decherd, TN

On December 23rd, CSX Transportation presented a surprise $4,000 donation to the Decherd, Tennessee's fire department to assist in the city's purchase of new emergency First Responder equipment. Fire Chief Harold Perry received the unexpected news just two weeks after the fire department partnered with CSX on a recent response call.

CSX Employee Leads Ladybug Volunteers | Giving

CSX employee, Angie Nicely Fliess, spends her free time giving back to the community. Fliess is the volunteer leader of Ladybug Service Club Inc., a nonprofit “kids helping kids” group that performs service projects in Jacksonville throughout the year.

CSX Transportation reinforced its ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship with a recent $2,500 grant to a Newport News-based land conservancy.

CSX Is Making It Easy for Employees to Work and Walk | Wellness

Washington, D.C.

In an effort to promote employee health and wellness, CSX is conducting a Walking Workstation Pilot Program, which will provide employees with an easy way to burn calories during the day without having to leave the office.
